Mario & Luigi: Brothership marks a brand-new entry in the series on November 7 for Nintendo Switch

During today's Nintendo Direct, Mario & Luigi: Brothership brings the first new entry in the series since 2015 to Nintendo Switch on November 7, 2024. Mario and Luigi explore the new land of Concordia aboard the Shipshape Island, and make use of returning Bros. Moves from prior entries in the series to explore and help the duo in battle. Nintendo unveiled the game alongside a trailer showcasing a bit of the plot setup, as well as how the game looks with its new HD artstyle.

While the trailer showcased a bunch of new actions, one thing that stood out was how the game appears to be using a mix of SuperStar Saga's Bros. Attacks and the Bros. Items from later entries in the series in tandem. It's also curious exactly what developer is making the game, considering the series' creator AlphaDream has been dead for quite some time; knowing Nintendo, we probably won't know for sure until closer to launch. Mario & Luigi: Brothership launches on Nintendo Switch on November 7.
