SteelSeries Opens in China

On June 23rd, SteelSeries announced opening its second retail shop in China, located at Booth 3-2A, 3F, Tianhe Computer Galaxy, No. 504, Tianhe Road, Guangzhou, China.

It opens June 25th, with festivities starting the day before, inclusive of open Counter Strike and Warcraft games.

"Everything we do in China, we do with the greatest feeling of support. It's evident that China boasts the most dedicated fans, gamers, and supporters of the eSports culture, and choosing China as the location for a second SteelSeries store was such a natural choice," said Michael von Essen-Müller, CEO for SteelSeries. "We hope the Chinese gamers will welcome our new store, as a place to shop for gaming gear, but also as a place where they can meet national and international gamers."

While it is possible to buy items from the SteelSeries website, in the shops themselves, it is possible to try out games and accessories, and be helped by trained professionals.

Stores dedicated to just gaming is likely to become more popular, with the rising obsessions of video games.
