Rise of the Ronin receives a demo on PlayStation 5 today

Developer Team Ninja and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment have released a free demo of Bakumatsu-era open-world action RPG Rise of the Ronin today. The demo is now up on PlayStation Store for curious players to try out. It has no time limit and contains the entire prologue up until the beginning of Chapter 1. Plus, those who have played the demo can transfer all of their save data into the full game to continue their playthrough seamlessly.

Rise of the Ronin released earlier this year on March 22 exclusively for the PlayStation 5. In my Rise of the Ronin review, I found the title quite enjoyable and engaging with many interesting key figures from the Bakumatsu era making an appearance in the title. Team Ninja continues to evolve its responsive battle system by providing different styles and stances to various weapon types, such as katanas, polearms, and even unconventional weaponry, such as bayonets.

My playthrough of Rise of the Ronin lasted around 60 hours so players can expect a meaty game if they do decide to pick up the title after playing its demo.
