THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games announce a new entry in the Darksiders series

THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games concluded the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024 event by teasing a new Darksiders project. No platforms or a release window has been shared yet.

The brief teaser slowly examines a fiery, rocky cavern filled with molten lava. Then, three structures light up with fire before it ends on a screen that simply says "Be prepared to ride again..." which alludes to how the Darksiders series revolves around the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Players took control of War, Death, and Fury in Darksiders, Darksiders II, and Darksiders III respectively as their main characters. The final horseman in Darksiders, Strife, was playable in the 2019 isometric RPG spin-off Darksiders Genesis, but Strife has yet to be the sole main character of a mainline Darksiders entry.

This untitled Darksiders project may not necessarily mean that it's a new mainline entry. However, Gunfire Games was the studio behind Darksiders III previously.
