Red Art Games announces Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered International boxed release, including new FIGS language options
Square Enix and Red Art Games have announced Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered International, a new version of the 2022 remaster set to release physically and digitally for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch early next year.
Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2005 as a remake of the original Romancing SaGa for Super Famicom. The 2022 remaster added several quality-of-life additions and new content, and personally I adore the game.
As for the new International version, in addition to being available as a physical release, this new version of the game includes French, Italian, German, and Spanish (FIGS) subtitle language options for the first time in series history. The game is otherwise the same, content-wise.
It's worth noting that, for all intents and purposes, this is a new version of the game. Those wanting to play Minstrel Song with the new FIGS language options must purchase the International Version, as the existing release will not be updated. Additionally, the International Version is not announced for PC, although the original remaster is available on Steam.

Today, Square Enix in partnership with Red Art Games, announced Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International, a remaster of the fourth entry in the beloved SaGa franchise, which initially released in 2022, will be released physically and digitally for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) console, PlayStation 4 (PS4) console, and Nintendo Switch in Western markets early next year.
With physical and digital editions*, this upcoming release also marks the first Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered will be localized beyond existing English and Japanese language options into French, German, Italian and Spanish text, for players around the world to enjoy. Pre-orders for the physical standard edition and two special physical editions** of the game are now available through VGP’s official online store (ESRB) and Red Art Games (PEGI).
- Special Edition: Includes a copy of the game with a reversable cover and a PVC keychain.
- Collector’s Edition: Includes a copy of the game with a reversable cover, a box with retro-inspired cover art (design will vary between Switch and PlayStation versions), Steelcase, artbook, manual and three postcards.

Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered launched in 2022, featuring a host of exciting new improvements and additions, including remastered graphics, new quality of life features to improve playability, and new gameplay features. Players will follow the exploits of one of eight protagonists, each with their own storyline and goal, and create their own unique adventure where their actions will affect the world around them courtesy of the “Freeform Scenario” system. Fans of the SaGa franchise can also expect the “Glimmer” and “Combo” systems from previous games, iconic beautifully illustrated designs, and a whimsical soundtrack by Composer Kenji Ito. The release of Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International will be the first title in the beloved SaGa franchise history to receive French, German, Italian and Spanish text localization, making Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered International accessible for both fans of the original and newcomers to the SaGa franchise.
