Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 developer diary introduces Seattle's Camarilla Court vampires

Developer The Chinese Room has released a new dev diary unveiling more about Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2's Camarilla Court. The blog post also contained new artwork and character profiles for the characters, some of whom featured in previous reveals, like the Bloodlines 2 extended gameplay trailer from earlier in the year.

The Camarilla Court is group of powerful vampires representing the leadership of the Camarilla, the group of vampiric clans representing the vampiric establishment and upholding most of the tenets of vampire society as reflected in the Vampire setting. Three of the game's four playable vampire clans - the Ventrue, Tremere, and Banu Haqim - are part of the Camarilla, with the anarchic Brujah clan actually being a former Camarilla faction.

The Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 dev diary features profiles of eight members of Seattle's Camarilla Court:

  • J J Campbell, Seattle's Prince (leader of the local Camarilla-affiliated vampires)
  • Lou Graham, the former Prince
  • Ryong Choi, Seneschal to the Prince
  • Michael "Tolly" Toliver, Herald (the Prince's spokesperson)
  • Benny Muldoon, Sheriff (the Camarilla Court's enforcer)
  • Safia Ulusoy, the Court researcher
  • Ysabella Moore, Primogen of Seattle's Toreador clan
  • Willem Axel, the Prince's Secret Keeper

In Bloodlines 2 players take the role of Phyre, an elder vampire that would, under normal circumstances, be one of the most powerful undead in the city. But after a long slumber and mysterious incident, Phyre awakes with gaps in their memory and their power seemingly surpressed. Left vulnerable but still influential, Phyre must get to know modern Seattle's night life, meeting vampires of the Court and beyond to progress the story and influence their fate and the fate of the city.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodline 2 will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime in 2025.
