New Mario & Luigi: Brothership trailer and screenshots showcase island locales

Nintendo has released a short new trailer for Mario & Luigi: Brothership, showcasing some of the locations that the Mario Brothers will encounter on their island-hopping adventure.

Brothership - the 6th entry into the Mario & Luigi RPG series - was originally announced in this year's June Nintendo Direct, showing the brothers set sail on Shipshape Island to navigate the vast world of Concordia.

Additionally, Nintendo has shared a Japanese blog post with new screenshots for five of the locations. While the island names will undoubtedly not translate well to their punny nature, we see an island with stone sculptures, an island with twisted trees, an island with abandoned buildings, an urban shopping island, and finally a combination lava/ice island. The blog also teases an 'unidentified suspicious group', which was previously shown to be called the "Extension Corps' in the English announcement trailer.

We've shared the trailer below, alongside short gameplay showcases and screenshots, via Nintendo.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership is set to release on November 7 for Nintendo Switch.
