Nanbu Works will release roguelike strategy RPG Indomitable Blade on PC via Steam in 2025
Nanbu Works has published a new press release to promote the studio's upcoming game project—a roguelike strategy RPG by the title Indomitable Blade. The game has been slated for release on PC via Steam in 2025 with Japanese and English text support. The press release revealed that Yoshimi Kudo is working as the composer for this game's soundtrack.
Yoshimi Kudo had been known as one of the members of Hitoshi Sakimoto's Basiscape, but he has gone freelance in 2024. Nanbu Works' press release specifically noted that Yoshimi Kudo was part of Elden Ring's composer team, but he had also been involved in Basiscape's prior works—a number of which were related to Vanillaware. The list included Unicorn Overlord, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, and Muramasa: The Demon Blade.
Nanbu Works—the indie studio set up by solo developer Nanbu Yasumi—has been promoting Indomitable Blade for quite a while. The first-ever teaser trailer for this title appeared in November 2023. The latest announcement of Yoshimi Kudo as the game's composer is definitely the most significant news the studio has made to date. We will keep you updated when the studio has further updates for the game, including its full release date.
You can find the latest teaser trailer for Indomitable Blade, along with screenshots and a summary description, right below.
Indomitable Blade is a roguelike tactics RPG in which players experience the fate of the dying kingdom of Klövsdal and its Hornese from the perspective of the Earl, Freyja.
The player, who has only a limited army against the overwhelming power of the enemy, must constantly use his wits to overturn the inferiority of the enemy's forces. All stats are subject to damage, and recovery resources are limited, so even the most powerful soldiers can be easily killed depending on how they behave.
In this roguelike battlefield, where even story branches change randomly, will you be able to stand up to despair as a commander?
