Clowned King is a new strategy RPG from Virgo Vs The Zodiac and Keylocker developer Moonana
Moonana, developer of Virgo Vs The Zodiac and Keylocker has announced a new strategy RPG, called Clowned King. The game is headed for PC and has a Steam page up, but does not have a release date at this time.
The official Moonana Games YouTube channel also includes a teaser trailer:
The Steam page for Clowned King describes the game as a "Tactical Fantasy JRPG," in which players take the role of Clown Prince Matheus, who leads a troupe of performing clowns on tour through the Moonlit Kingdom. There he curries favor with the lords he visits to gather support for his brewing rebellion against the Mad King Marduk, his father. Clowned King is inspired by strategy RPGs like Disgaea, Fire Emblem, and Brazilian culture.
The game will allow players to link up adjacent units in advantageous formations, to unlock special offensive or defensive abilities, depending on the formation created. Out of battle, they'll manage their troupe, bonding with the leaders of rival realms, and make choices that determine the narrative's path toward multiple endings. The game will also have a campaign editor, allowing players to create and share custom campaigns.
Clowned King is in development for PC, but does not yet have a release date.
