Fairy Tail 2 details several Game Systems in a new Overview trailer including Unison Raid and Magic Origin
Koei Tecmo and Gust shared a new trailer for Fairy Tail 2 that goes over several of its various gameplay systems. Engage in real-time magic battles with your party members as the game covers the Alvarez Empire Arc from the Fairy Tail series.
Fire off devastating magic combos through chain attacks and power-up abilities through the Fairy Rank Up mechanic in battles. Break enemies and team up with other characters to unleash a Unison Raid attack.
Enhance characters' capabilities through the Magic Origins screen and navigate their skill trees to enhance their stats.
Once players finish the final battle, they'll be able to access a completely new story that's unique to this game.
Fairy Tail 2 launches on December 13 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch. The title will be coming to PC (Steam) two days earlier on December 11.

Today, at Tokyo Game Show 2024, Koei Tecmo Europe and developer Gust unveiled new details about the combat system in Fairy Tail 2, the new action RPG based on the popular franchise Fairy Tail. In an epic new trailer, fans can discover more about real-time battles that Natsu and his friends will encounter when fighting against Emperor Spriggan Zeref and his elite team, the Spriggan 12. A direct sequel to Koei Tecmo's 2020 game, Fairy Tail 2 will be released on 13th December 2024 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and 12th December 2024 on Windows PC via Steam.
To capture the intensity and thrill of the Alvarez Empire Arc, Fairy Tail 2 features revamped real-time magical battles packed with even more spectacular action. In addition to their powerful emblematic attacks, the Fairy Tail guild members will unleash impressive attacks in cooperation with their allies by using “Link Attacks” and “Unison Raid” to defeat their enemies. Speed, precision and synergy will be the key to a triumphant strategy over the formidable Spriggan 12 mages.
In the newly unveiled trailer, fans get a glimpse of the new character progression mechanics that will allow them to create their own Fairy Tail experience by managing the skill progression of their favourite characters. Players will also be able to deepen their Fairy Tail experience by unlocking character stories as they advance through the story, giving them the opportunity to discover new facets of these beloved characters thanks to brand-new, original sequences and interactions.
Additionally, during the “Koei Tecmo Live! at TGS 2024” livestream on 27th September 2024 (19:00 JST, only available in Japanese), fans will discover more about the game through live gameplay footage with guests Tetsuya Kakihara (CV Natsu) and Sayaka Ohara (CV Erza), and the game’s producer, Hiroshi Kataoka.
In addition to the standard edition, fans can now pre-order two special editions: the “Fairy Tail 2 Guild Box” edition, which includes the base game, the visual artbook “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the “Sorcerer Magazine” as seen in the original work, a Special Shikishi with Holographic Finish (3 types in total), and more. Fans can also pre-order the “Fairy Tail 2 Combo Set” edition which contains, on top of the items included in the Guild Box, a Special Illustrated Canvas Art, with printed autograph of series creator Hiro Mashima.

Additionally, fans will be able to digitally pre-order at a later date the “Fairy Tail 2 Digital Deluxe Edition” which will include additional in-game content such as costumes, characters, scenarios, various DLC to enhance the game experience, and more at a later date. Fairy Tail 2 is set to be released on 13th December, 2024 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and 12th December, 2024 on Windows PC via Steam. Fairy Tail 2 will include Japanese voices with English and French texts.
