Strategy RPG Emberstoria announced for iOS, Android, and PC in Japan from Square Enix

Square Enix just announced the free-to-play strategy RPG Emberstoria  for iOS, Android, and PC in Japan. If the name sounds familiar, this announcement follows Square Enix's trademark for Emberstoria filed about two years ago. While Square Enix calls Emberstoria a strategy RPG, the few bits of gameplay in the announcement trailer make it look like it features RTS elements against large monsters. Hopefully, we get a proper glimpse of gameplay in its second trailer. I'm also curious to see more of the building mechanics showcased earlier in the trailer. Watch the debut trailer for Emberstoria for its Japanese release below:

Emberstoria features character designs from Yusuke Kozaki (Fire Emblem: Awakening, Fire Emblem Fates), music from Masashi Hamauzu (Final Fantasy XIII, SaGa Frontier 2), and main scenario written by Benny Matsuyama (Imperial SaGa). As with most Square Enix mobile game announcements for Japan, a localization hasn't been announced yet. Check out the official Japanese game website here for details on the story and main cast. The store pages are not up yet, but they will go live for iOS here and for Android here. The device requirements for iOS, Android, and PC are listed here.

Emberstoria is currently in development for iOS, Android, and PC (DMM) release in Japan. An official release date or localization are yet to be announced.
