FuRyu will release Crystar PlayStation 5 version in Japan on February 27, 2025
FuRyu has announced that they will release a native PlayStation 5 version of Crystar. This new version will appear first in Japan on February 27, 2025.
The new PS5 version will particularly have over 30 DLC costumes already included in-game. In addition, FuRyu will also release a digital-exclusive deluxe edition that comes with a digital artbook. These additions are exactly the same as the Nintendo Switch port, which was available in Japan in February 2022 and also in the West in the following months.
In making the announcement for the PS5 version, however, FuRyu has yet to clarify whether players of the existing PS4 release will be able to carry over their saved progress to the new PS5 version or not. As a refresher, the PS4 was the very first platform FuRyu released the game for in Japan in 2018. And just like most other PS4 games, it is also already playable on the PS5 via backwards compatibility.
