Showa American Story releases in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and PC

Nekcom Entertainment and 2P Games have unveiled a brand-new trailer for their upcoming action RPG Showa American Story, which provides a brand-new look at the game in action since its announcement in January 2022. The trailer officially confirms that Showa American Story is releasing in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam); the PlayStation 4 version that was announced in its reveal has been dropped.

Showa American Story presents an alternate history in the 1980's, in which Japan experienced its economic bubble but in this instance, it never popped. Thus, Japan was able to buy the majority of USA's land in this game. Step into the shoes of Chouko, a 19-year-old stuntwoman living in what is now referred to as Showa era 66. When Chouko and her sister are attacked in Hollywood by assassins, Chouko awakens some time later to find out that the world she knew is now overrun by zombies.

Find out what happened as Chouko and slaughter hordes of zombies to uncover the truth. The new trailer shows a glimpse of several story elements and gameplay in action. It reveals how the President of the United States in Showa American Story watches anime at exactly 6:30 daily and showcases several locations, such as San Francisco and Neo Yokohama.
