KonoSuba: Fantastic Days shuts down simultaneously worldwide on January 30, 2025
Sumzap has announced that KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! Fantastic Days will be shut down on January 30, 2025. The mobile game's end-of-service will happen on both the original Japanese and global English versions at 15:00 JST / 06:00 UTC.
For the record, the KonoSuba mobile game originally launched in Japan in late February 2020. Later on in the same year, Nexon announced that they would release a global version of the game in 2021. It did eventually get released on August 19. If we count the overall lifespan of the Japanese release, that means the game will just be one month shy from its 5th anniversary.
While the shutdown will happen simultaneously worldwide, there are some differences in the post-EoS treatment between the Japanese and global releases. The Japanese version announcement mentioned a transition to an offline archive app on the shutdown day. The English version does not have any mention of that, although they do promise daily free Quartz and refunds for unused paid Quartz and items.
