Fairy Tail 2 showcases its game-original story and character stories in a new trailer
Koei Tecmo and Gust's upcoming RPG Fairy Tail 2 has gotten a new trailer showcasing its game-original story and also character stories included ahead of its December release date for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). In addition to the new trailer, Koei Tecmo has updated the game's official English website with new screenshots from the game-original story unlocked after beating the game's main story.
Key to the Unknown, this game-original story, is unlocked after beating the game's main story. It is a new journey across the world map across four chapters covering areas you couldn't explore in the main story. It is set in the West with "Investigating the Golden Tales!" that has you locating a restaurant run by a "Monster Chef" that hides a certain treasure in the restaurant. More information is available on the official website with screenshots below.
As you progress through the game's story and level up characters, character stories are unlocked and these are fully voiced in Japanese. You can view these at campfires in each area.
Fairy Tail 2 releases on December 13 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch. It will be coming to PC (Steam) on December 11. Read my interview with Fairy Tail 2 producer Hiroshi Kataoka about the game's combat changes, accessibility, and much more here.
