Aquaplus reveals Project Kizuna as a brand-new RPG project

Aquaplus announced a brand-new RPG project on the second day of the Great Aquaplus Festival -30th Anniversary- event. While more attention has been given to new titles from existing series like a 3D remake of the visual novel ToHeart and yesterday's Utawarerumono: Shiro he no Michishirube, this new project will result in a completely unrelated new RPG. It shall be currently known as Project Kizuna.

Most of the key staff members for this project have regularly worked on earlier Aquaplus titles. The company's COO Naoya Shimokawa is the producer of this project, while Munemitsu Suga is writing the scenarios, with Tatsuki Amaduyu and Misato Mitsumi designing the characters—all of which have also been involved with the Utawarerumono series.

The new name joining the staff list here is Kengo Uchibori as the project's director. His best-known previous work was Square Enix and Tokyo RPG Factory's I Am Setsuna. Outside Square Enix, he was also involved in the lesser-known 2017 action RPG Goken.

Aquaplus concluded Project Kizuna's announcement with a concept art for the new RPG. Details on its release window or platforms are still yet to be divulged as of this initial reveal.
