Apple Arcade to add Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, Trials of Mana, Final Fantasy IV, and more from next month

Earlier today, Apple announced that it is bringing 15 games to Apple Arcade beginning December 5 with four Square Enix mobile games joining the service as "+" versions. These are the first Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, and Trials of Mana

All four of those games are already available as paid games on iOS and Android, but they will now also be available for Apple Arcade subscribers as "+" versions. Apple uses the "+" branding on mobile games in Apple Arcade to indicate App Store Greats which are usually the same games as the standalone releases on mobile, but without any additional purchases. In the past, games like Monster Hunter Stories have joined Apple Arcade the same way.

Apple usually announces four or five games arriving on the service a few weeks prior, but today's announcement is a bit different. I assume we will slowly see the other Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games arrive throughout 2025, but it remains to be seen if those or other Square Enix mobile games get added to Apple Arcade game in the coming months.

Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)+ and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years+ launch on December 9 while Final Fantasy+ (Pixel Remaster) and Trials of Mana+ launch on January 9, 2025. You can currently pre-order them on the App Store so they automatically download when they are available on Apple Arcade in your region.
