Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade delayed to March 2025; Kickstarter campaign launched and free demo now available

7Quark has announced that Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade has been delayed to March 2025. In addition, a Kickstarter campaign has been launched in order to finalize development of the action roguelike RPG.

7Quark states: "Maybe you will think that 'Why start a Kickstarter campaign now so close to the finish line?' ── Simply put, we’ve reached a point where we can’t push forward without additional support." As of the time of this writing, the Kickstarter campaign has nearly already reached its $51,396 goal with 26 days to go.

A new demo is also currently available on the game's Steam store page. The announcement from 7Quark can be found below. The Kickstarter page is here

Announced earlier this year, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade features three different protagonists, the immortal ninja Shigure, demon emissary Sara, and monstrous samurai Taketora.

Hello everyone, we are 7Quark.

Thank you for always being there to support Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade. Today, we have some important updates to share.

Delay Announcement

After careful consideration of our development resources and the multi-platform porting process, we’ve determined that the final polishing phase will take more time and effort than we initially expected.

As a result, we have made the difficult decision to move the launch date to Q1 2025 .

Although we’re disappointed to delay Yasha: LDB from its original schedule, we’re dedicated to ensuring the highest quality for the best possible gaming experience. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to meet our players' expectations.

Kickstarter Campaign & Steam Demo

Yasha: LDB will begin its Kickstarter campaign on November 18 (UTC+8). On the same day, a free demo will also be available.

Maybe you will think that "Why start a Kickstarter campaign now so close to the finish line?" ── Simply put, we’ve reached a point where we can’t push forward without additional support.

At the end of 2023, our team faced major challenges both internally and externally. To keep production going, our producer took a massive personal risk—investing his entire assets into the development budget. Although this helped momentarily, it also depleted our reserves. As a result, we’ve been forced to postpone the release date, and several features planned for the launch version will now be added as free updates after release.

Despite these setbacks, the team has stayed resilient, with no hesitation, complaints, or departures.

Without this final round of funding, however, we won’t be able to pay our team members or collaborators, and all our hard work could come to a halt.

We’re a team of seasoned developers, full of passion and ideas for this game. Still, the lack of funds has restricted our creativity and the technical advancements we can achieve.

We sincerely invite you to help us overcome this last hurdle and join us on the final stretch to bring Yasha: LDB to life.
