Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling version 1.2 now available, adding fishing, medals, post-game, and QoL updates
Publisher Dangen Entertainment and developer Moonsprout Games have announced a new free version 1.2 update to Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling. This update will be free to all owners of Bug Fables, commemorating the 5th anniversary of the game.
The Paper Mario-inspired RPG originally released for PC in 2019. Version 1.1 and console ports landed the next year.
Version 1.2 adds a fishing minigame, new post-game challenges, new medals, new items, and quality-of-life tweaks. It also adds one new music track to the game.
Bryan was very fond of Bug Fables in his 2020 review, stating "It's the proper template for a love-letter done right -- to not simply staple oneself to the blueprint of their inspiration and meekly play parakeet, but to establish a cohesive identity beyond that."

Vi’s Beemerang now has an option to lock angles to the nearest 8 cardinal directions in battle.
