Wartales sells over 1 million units and reveals second major DLC expansion, The Skelmar Invasion

Shiro Games shared that Wartales has officially surpassed over 1 million units sold. To commemorate this milestone, they have unveiled the second major expansion coming to Wartales - The Skelmar Invasion and it will be arriving on December 10 for its PC release (Steam, GOG) priced at  $19.99/€19.99/£16.99 with a two-week launch discount of 10% off. They have not mentioned when this new expansion will arrive on its Xbox Series X|S and Switch versions.

The Skelmar Invasion revolves around the wartorn Edoran county of Ormance. Skelmars roam the land and it's up to players to strategically liberate Ormance by recruiting local rebels, rebuilding settlements, and engage with new progression systems introduced in the new DLC. Embark on sieges against strongholds and unleash the newfound firepower of the brand-new crossbowman class.

Upon the release of The Skelmar Invasion, there will also be a new update for all Wartales players that add in "highly requested new features" that have yet to be detailed, but Shiro Games has mention that the new crossbowman class will be available for all players to use, as well.

Beware, warriors will come under deadly fire from new crossbow-wielding enemies in every faction thanks to Wartales’ concurrent free update arriving alongside The Skelmar Invasion.

The Skelmar Invasion launches Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, on PC via Steam and GOG for $19.99/€19.99/£16.99 with a two-week launch discount of 10% off. Additionally, new Wartales players will be able to pick up the base game and The Skelmar Invasion in a specially priced bundle for $33.50.
