Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition hitting both Steam and GFWL in August

The folks over at IGN have some great news for Dark Souls PC fans.

No longer is the game restricted to Games for Windows Live, as previously announced. Namco Bandai has lifted the curtain and announced that the PC version of Dark Souls will also be releasing on Steam come August 24th. Special retail versions will also be available for European fans.

It is unconfirmed if the Steam version will support DRM. Stay tuned.
