Moth Atlas and Midwest Games unveil 2D western souls-like action RPG Tombwater coming in 2025 for PC
Developer Moth Atlas and publisher Midwest Games announced Tombwater, a new 2D souls-like action RPG with a top-down view. It is slated to release in 2025 for PC (Steam).
Players don the hat of a lone gunslinger entering the haunted town of Tombwater. Numerous monstrosities have turned a once-thriving town into a mere cursed shell of what it once was. The protagonist's friend, Sheriff Elliott Flintwood, has disappeared and people must uncover the truth behind it.
Wield a variety of weapons to dispose of anything that stands in the main character's way from shotguns, cavalry sabers, a pickaxe, and even the good ol' reliable six-shooter that any western gunslinger must have. Craft consumables, explosives, and more to stay on top of what lies beyond the darkness.

Midwest Games—an industry veteran-led publisher whose mission is to support and showcase abundant talent across the Midwest and underrepresented regions—has joined forces with developer Max Mraz of Moth Atlas to announce Tombwater, a 2D Souls-Like Action RPG set in a Wild West town plagued by Eldritch monsters haunting the silver mines below. Mraz previously released the highly-covered Yarntown, a ‘demake’ of Bloodborne and predecessor to Tombwater.
