Freedom Wars Remastered System Trailer shows changes from the original Vita release

Bandai Namco has published a new trailer for the upcoming remaster of Freedom Wars that shows the gameplay systems and changes made from the original PlayStation Vita release. While the trailer is named System Trailer in English, the same video is alternatively titled Changes Introduction Trailer in Japanese.

Some of the gameplay changes shown outside of the graphical updates are the customizable control scheme and the now-separated weapon upgrade modules. Bandai Namco and Dimps will also add the Deadly Sinner Mode as a new harder difficulty level where players will receive harsher penalties, lesser rewards, and unexpected enemy reinforcements.

In addition, this trailer also confirms the maximum supported resolution and frame rate for each platform:

  • PlayStation 5: 2160p - 60fps
  • PlayStation 4: 1080p - 60fps
  • Nintendo Switch: 1080p - 30fps
  • PC (Steam): 2160p - 60fps

On a side note, Bandai Namco has shared the PC system requirements for Freedom Wars Remastered on its Steam page. Players will first need to have a Windows 10 or 11 OS with DirectX 11 and 13 GB of free storage space.

The following minimum requirements are needed to have the game run on the PC at 1080p and 60fps with a Low graphics setting, although the frame rate may still drop in graphics-intensive scenes:

  • RAM: 4 GB
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-7600 / AMD Ryzen 3 3100
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 770 / Radeon RX 470

The next ones are recommended specs to run the PC version at 1080p and 60fps with a High graphics setting:

  • RAM: 8 GB
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 / Radeon RX 570
