Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test 2 planned for February, will feature an additional monster
Capcom just announced that Monster Hunter Wilds will have a second Open Beta Test in February (across two slots) featuring an additional monster. This will let players sample the game once again while the team works on improving the quality for launch.
Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test 2 will take place from February 6 to Febraury 9 and February 13 to February 16. It will feature an additional monster: Gypceros alongside all content from the first Open Beta Test. Capcom confirmed that the adjustments to performance, weapon changes, hitstop, or quality of life improvements detailed in the recent Pre-Launch Community Update will not be included though. It will be available on all three platforms with crossplay supported.
Playing Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test 2 will let you claim certain rewards in the full game including: the Stuffed Felyne Teddy Pendant (same as the first test) and the OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack. The timings for the beta are below and you will not need to have a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core (or Ultimate) subscription on console to play this.
Monster Hunter Wilds is releasing worldwide simultaneously on February 28, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Read Alex's preview of it here.
