Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is Steam Deck Verified ahead of its launch on January 23 for PC

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now Steam Deck Verified ahead of its launch on PC next week.

This change happened minutes ago (via SteamDB) and Valve marking the game as Steam Deck Verified means all functionality is accessible when using the default controller configuration, the game shows Steam Deck controller icons, the in-game interface text is legible on Steam Deck, and that the default graphics configuration performs well (according to Valve) on Steam Deck. Square Enix announced that it was working to optimize Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for Steam Deck when the PC version was announced, so this is good to see. Note that a game being Steam Deck Verified does not guarantee it runs well as we have seen with some bigger releases. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on PlayStation 5. It releases on January 23 for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
