Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will have free crossover content from Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin
Marvelous has revealed that Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will have crossover content from Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Princess Sakuna and Tama from the latter game will appear in the former when players opt to download the DLC pack, which will be available for free.
The company has yet to provide more details about the crossover DLC. The teaser trailer so far shows how Sakuna can walk around and even farm in the world of Azuma, but the gameplay details will only be available at a later time.
As a side note, while both games are known to have a similar traditional Japanese theme, both of them are also published by Marvelous. But while the Rune Factory series is being developed inside the company, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin was instead made by the indie studio Edelweiss.
You can find the teaser trailer via the Rune Factory series' official Japanese X account right below. Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will be available for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam simultaneously worldwide on May 30.
