Nintendo Q3FY2025 Results: Mario & Luigi: Brothership sells 1.84 million units

Nintendo has released its quarterly financials [PDF] for Q3 of the 2025 fiscal year, giving us some incremental sales updates for Nintendo RPGs.

For the genre-focus of this website, the main topic is the release of Mario & Luigi: Brothership, which shipped 1.84 million units in the quarter (as of December 31). Nintendo specifies that 1.4 million of those units were sold-through to consumers.

Other incremental RPG-related sales updates are as follows:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has sold 3.91 million units since launch [up from 2.58 last quarter]
  • Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Switch) has sold 2.06 million units since launch [up from 1.94 last quarter]
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 32.62 million units since launch [up from 32.29 last quarter]
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold 21.55 million units since launch [up from 21.04 last quarter]
  • Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have sold 26.60 million units since launch [up from 26.44 last quarter]
  • Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have sold 26.38 million units since launch [up from 25.69 last quarter]

As far as upcoming RPG-related releases go, at the end of Q4 we'll see Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
