Star Trek Online Unveiled update launches with 15th Anniversary on February 11 for PC, March 11 for consoles

Developer Cryptic Games unveiled Unveiled, its title for the next update to long-running MMORPG Star Trek: Online, which lands on February 11, 2025 on PC and on March 11, 2025 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The update will continue the game's ongoing main storyline, while also launching a limited-time event to celebrate STO's 15th anniversary. The game first launched on PC on February 2, 2010.

In a blog post detailing the event, Cryptic said that Star Trek Online: Unveiled will feature a new main story campaign mission, one which will feature voice work from Jonathan Del Arco, who played Hugh in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard. Del Arco will reprise his role as Hugh, who, in Star Trek Online's timeline, leads the Borg Cooperative, a faction of the Borg that are not hostile to the Federation and its allies.

Alongside the new story campaign mission, the debut of Star Trek Online: Unveiled will also see the launch of a limited-time event celebrating the 15th anniversary of STO, whch will run until March 14, 2025 on PC.

As with previous anniversary events, the 15th anniversary celebration will task players with making a bit of progress each day by participating in events like the existing "Royal Flush" team operation, the new story mission, or the "Omega Molecule Stabilization" minigame. In exchange, they'll earn prizes, one of which is a playable Tier 6 Starship with a unique design: The Garrett Command Alliance Dreadnought Cruiser.

Featuring a design that's a blend of Klingon and Federation ship elements, the Garrett-class is named after Rachel Garrett, the captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise-C. The cruiser can use specialized Command and Temporal abilities, as well as deploy squadrons of fighter craft to aid in combat.

The 15th Anniversary will also see a bundle of premium starships added to the in-game store for players to purchase. Cryptic hasn't detailed what ships are in the bundle, but at least one of them is confirmed to be based on the U.S.S. Ark Royal, a carrier starship design seen in the 2002 strategy game Starfleet Command III.
