Goddess of Victory: NIKKE launches 2nd Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover on February 20

Free-to-play shooter RPG Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is getting a second crossover with classic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, and it kicks off on February 20, 2025. The previous Evangelion crossover took place in August 2024, and brought characters Rei, Asuka, Mari, and Misato into the playable roster.

Developer Shift Up shared a teaser trailer unveiling the event, as well:

While the last Evangelion x NIKKE crossover event featured the classic outfits worn by Asuka, Rei, Mari, and Misato, the new event seems to feature characters as they appear in the later Rebuild of Evangelion feature films, specifically Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo and Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. Rei wears her black plugsuit, while Asuka sports the eye patch and hat she wore in the films. The trailer also shows Sakura Suzuhara at her age during the Evangelion 3.0 and 3.0+1.0 films.

The Evangelion characters interact with NIKKE core cast of Rapi, Anis, and Neon, as well as Mast, Anchor, and Helm, who crew the NIKKE battleship Admire as it goes up against the Evangelion units themselves and the flying battleship AAA Wunder.

The event will add three new playable characters to the roster, namely Asuka: WILLE, Rei Ayanami (Tentative Name), and Sakura. Asuka and Rei will be separate variants from the versions already in NIKKE, while Sakura will be a free event character. The event will also feature gacha banner reruns for the previous crossovers, so players that missed out on getting Asuka, Rei and Mari can try for them again.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on PC and mobile platforms. The Evangelion crossover begins on February 20, 2025.
