Mistwalker interested in developing games for the Wii U

Mistwalker, the studio behind fan favorites such as Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon and more recently, The Last Story has expressed interest in creating games for Nintendo's new platform, the Wii U.

Speaking in an interview with GameZone, lead designer Takuya Matsumoto talked up the system's dual screen feature as well as the companies desire to create more action RPGs in the future. When asked about the Wii U, Matsumoto said that it "will add another level of strategic elements into the action RPG. So we are really looking forward to it, but we haven’t really planned anything."

Mistwalker's latest game, The Last Story will finally be available for North American Wii owners this summer.
