How to change your appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds

There are three ways to change your appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. The first is adjusting aspects like your hair, makeup, clothing and voice pitch. You can do this without paying real money or using any in-game vouchers. The second is adjusting your armor appearance or layered armor. You can do both of these from your tent. If you want to adjust your complete appearance or redo your character, you need to use a Character Edit Voucher.

How to change your layered armor in Monster Hunter Wilds

If you already own some DLC in Monster Hunter Wilds through a pre-order bonus or any of the cosmetic packs available, you can access the layered armor from the Appearance Menu in your tent. You can then enable or disable individual armor pieces here. If you are in High Rank, any armor you craft can be equipped as Layered Armor part by part.

How to change your voice in Monster Hunter Wilds

You need to use a Character Edit Voucher if you want to choose a completely different voice. You can change your voice pitch for free as covered below below for editing hair and makeup.

Can you change your appearance for free in Monster Hunter Wilds

You can edit your hair, facial hair, makeup, voice pitch (but not completely change your voice) and clothing for free by going into your tent and selecting the last tab: Appearance Menu. From here, select Change Appearance to edit those things. You do not need a Character Edit Voucher for these changes.

How to change your Palico's appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds

Just like your own appearance, you can edit some aspects for free, but to completely redo your Palico's appearance, you need to use a Palico Edit Voucher.

Monster Hunter Wilds Character Edit Vouchers explained

Since Monster Hunter World, Capcom has started selling Character & Palico Edit Vouchers to let players redo Hunter and Palico character creation and go for a new look. You can use a voucher from the save data screen (before loading) to change appearances fully and use a different voice for an existing hunter and Palico. You can only buy the Voucher sets once.
