Nacon is pleased to announce today the Early Access release of Dragonkin: The Banished on Steam. This new Hack 'N' Slash game is developed by Eko Software, a Paris-based studio composed of passionate fans of the genre. Dragonkin offers a gameplay experience that stays true to the fundamentals of the genre while introducing unique elements that are sure to delight fans. The game will also be available on consoles upon its final release.

In Dragonkin: The Banished, players take on the role of one of three available dragon hunters, aiming to free humanity from the invading draconic forces. To take on this challenge, the game offers deep crafting through various character enhancement mechanics, providing enthusiasts with endless build possibilities.

Players develop their hero’s abilities using a unique skill system called the Ancestral Grid, where they combine fragments obtained throughout their journey. They are also accompanied by their loyal dragonet, an extension of their hero with its own skills, allowing them to create Symbioses that greatly amplify their power.

In the City of Montescail, merchants offer equipment and crafting options that contribute to the itemization of heroes. As a dynamic hub, players can strategically upgrade and visually enhance their city to unlock new services and become even more ruthless fighters. Once the main hunt is completed, a rich endgame experience awaits, featuring various game modes, including boss battles and dungeons, to further refine strategies and extend gameplay.

The game will receive multiple updates throughout Early Access, introducing new hero and city upgrades, endgame modes, environments, and enemy types. Online co-op for up to four players will be added in Fall 2025, allowing friends to team up against the Ancient Dragons while sharing city services and bonuses.
