Lunar Remastered Collection details Classic Mode and Remastered Mode, voice acting changes, and more

Lunar Remastered Collection from GungHo Online Entertainment America has gotten new details revealed in an interview on the PlayStation Blog covering the Classic Mode, Remastered Mode, voice acting changes, and more.

Lunar Remastered Collection launches next month, and a new interview on the PlayStation Blog goes over how the team consulted with Game Arts (the original development studio) for feedback on the upcoming release. The interview also showcased the Lunar Remastered Collection Classic Mode and Remastered Mode. This aims to let players experience the game with a new aspect ratio or go for an experience that tries to be like the PlayStation original.

The Classic Mode, as shown in the screenshot beloiw, will also have a CRT filter. It is unclear if you will be able to disable the filter when using Classic Mode or not. In terms of quality of life features, there will be an adjustable battle speed option for both games, a unified inventory option in Lunar 1, the ability to customize character AI in Lunar 1's battles, and more.

As for cut-scenes, the original scenes have been remastered and touched up for modern audiences instead of changing any content as per the interview. The voice acting in the remaster features a new voice cast that has been selected based on how well they captured what the developers were envisioning for how each character should sound.

Lunar Remastered Collection launches on April 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
