Atelier Yumia will get camera behavior and usability updates in the near future

Koei Tecmo just announced that Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land will be getting updates in the near future to address camera behavior and usability.

Since launch, Atelier Yumia has been patched to add support for demo save transfer, but Koei Tecmo is going to address issues with the camera, battle results screen, sprinting, synthesis animations, and more in the near future. It is unclear if these will arrive in a single update or in a few different patchs.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is out now worldwide for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). You can read our full review here, console comparison feature here, and PC port feature here.

You can find the full list of what Koei Tecmo will address in these updates below:

Updates scheduled for the near future

1. Camera behavior

●Adjustment to the “Battle Results” screen

Under the battle tab in the “Options” menu, an option for showing the battle results screen at the end of battles will be added.
On: The battle results screen will be shown when battles end.
Off: The battle results screen will be skipped when battles end.

After the update, the default setting will be “off”. To watch the results screen as before, please change the settings to “on”.

In conjunction with this update, camera behavior during battles will also be adjusted.

2. Usability improvements

●Adjustment to the start of “Synthesis” animation

A feature to skip or fast-forward the start of synthesis animation will be added.
Similar to the animation sequences during synthesis, skipping or fast-forwarding the animation and proceeding to the next scene with a button input will be possible.

●Adjustment to the “Sprint” button

An option that allows the choosing of multiple input methods for sprinting will be added.
With this, the “On” and “Off” options in Ver1.00 will be changed into “Auto”, “Manual”, and “Switch”.

Auto: After running for a certain amount of time, it automatically switches to sprinting.
Manual: Pushing a button will toggle sprinting. When you stop moving, it will revert to running.
Switch: Pushing a button will toggle sprinting. It will stay as sprinting until the button is pressed.

We are working to release the updates above as soon as possible.
