Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment releases for Nintendo Switch 2 this Winter
Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have revealed Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment at the April 2025 Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. The companies will release the new action game for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide "this Winter".
This game will be the third entry in the Legend of Zelda-themed Hyrule Warriors series. However, it will pivot closer to Age of Calamity than the crossover-based inaugural entry. Like Age of Calamity featured the storyline before Breath of the Wild, the new Age of Imprisonment will depict a past storyline that will lead to the events of Tears of the Kingdom.
You can find the reveal trailers and official description for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment below. The new hack-and-slash game will be available worldwide for Nintendo Switch 2 this winter.
