Capcom cautions Monster Hunter Wilds players against accessing unauthorized modified quests
Capcom has published a new webpage on the Monster Hunter Wilds official site that cautions players against unauthorized data modification. The company generally discourages them from accessing illegitimate quests with extraordinary requirements and rewards. They have also promised to implement countermeasures against players who have engaged in such conduct, including account suspensions for the worst offenders.
The company has also shared a table showing the list of legitimate parameters for a quest in Monster Hunter Wilds. One of the notable differences for long-time series players is the maximum number of target monsters. Prior series entries have had generated quests with 3 target monsters. But as of MH Wilds' Version 1.010 patch in April 2025, the maximum legitimate number of target monsters in a given quest is just 2. The specifications may change in future updates or a currently still hypothetical Iceborne or Sunbreak-esque expansion.
