
Breath of Fire IV is now available on GOG for PC as a part of the GOG Preservation Program
Capcom's Breath of Fire IV is now available on PC (GOG) through the GOG Preservation Program.
GOG has announced and released Capcom's RPG Breath of Fire IV for PC with Windows 10 and Windows 11 compatibility. Breath of Fire IV originally released in 2000 on the original PlayStation in Japan followed by North America. It was then released in Europe a year later and then ported to PC in Japan and Europe in 2003.

The GOG version of Breath of Fire IV, released to celebrate the game's 25th anniversary, also features both English and Japanese localizations, improved graphics with an upgraded DirectX renderer, restored sounds that were missing through an upgraded audio engine, and more. It can be bought now for $9.99.

The game joins the GOG Preservation Program with essential upgrades: our enhanced version is fully optimized for modern systems, with Windows 10 and 11 compatibility. Players can enjoy both English and Japanese localizations, along with improved graphics powered by an upgraded DirectX renderer, new display options like Windowed Mode, V-Sync, Anti-Aliasing and refined gamma correction for better visuals. The audio engine has also been upgraded, restoring missing environmental sounds and adding new configuration options.
