Suikoden I & II HD Remaster launches on June 5 for Nintendo Switch 2, discounted pre-orders now live on eShop
Konami will release Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5 as a launch title for the system.
A little while ago a few retailer listings went up in Japan for Suikoden I & II HD Remaster, but nothing was announced when it comes to official release date or any details for the release. Since then, Konami has officially announced the Switch 2 version on the game's website. This announcement also confirms that Suikoden I & II HD Remaster will run at 1440p 60fps when docked and 1080p 60fps in handheld mode on Nintendo Switch 2. It mentions save data transfer from Switch 1 to Switch 2, but nothing about an upgrade. The Switch 1 version is playable on Switch 2, but will not include the improved resolution and frame rates mentioned. The product page also lists the download size for Suikoden I & II HD Remaster at 12GB for Nintendo Switch 2.

Today, pre-orders have also gone live on the eShop in North America and Europe with a 20% discount during the pre-order period. This makes Suikoden I & II HD Remaster cheaper to purchase right now for Nintendo Switch 2 than Nintendo Switch. The Japanese physical release is a Game Key Card as confirmed on Konami's website and on Amazon Japan. There is no word on when pre-orders for the Western release will be available physically, but the same product page mentions a Game Key Card.
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
