Star Wars: The Old Republic goes free to play through level 15

Bioware and EA have announced a new program for Star Wars: The Old Republic. In an attempt to pump some life into the struggling MMO, a new free trial experience is available from today for new players.

Users are able to take advantage of this offer with no credit card required or subscription - something that original subscribers had to endure when registering for an account.

The free trial will give newcomers the chance to try out each of the 8 character classes while exploring each one's Origin World and even have the chance to view their own Capital World. PVP Warzones and Flashpoints will also be available in the trial.

Players who have previously participated in one of the Weekend Pass Free Trials or the Friends of Star Wars: The Old Republic Trial are also eligible to join.
