Kuro Games has confirmed the release date for the Devil May Cry 5 crossover content in the Japanese version of Punishing: Gray Raven. The collaboration will appear there after the update maintenance on July 1. But even though the whole "Lamento di Phantasma" version goes until August 14, players on the Japanese server only have up to August 12 to get all available crossover content.
This crossover will primarily add Dante and Vergil—based on their appearances in the latest entry in Capcom's popular game series to date—as playable characters recruitable via gacha. But even though Punishing Gray Raven has Japanese and English voiceover options, the DMC characters appear to only feature English voiceovers, as even the Japanese reveal tweets show Reuben Langdon and Daniel Southworth as the voice actors reprising the roles of Dante and Vergil, respectively. In addition, the Devil Sword Dante and the Yamato will also be available via separate weapon gachas.
Although Punishing Gray Raven is available worldwide on mobile and PC, there are still a few discrepancies in version releases between regions. The English client will get the "Dream till the Timeless End" update on June 25, but this will also apparently combine the two update versions preceding the DMC5 crossover in the Japanese release. Players on the English server can thus expect Dante and Vergil to appear in the next update version following this one.
