The future of the Final Fantasy XIII saga to be revealed in September
The future of the Final Fantasy XIII saga will be revealed this September at the upcoming Final Fantasy 25th anniversary event.
The latest update from Square Enix’s own site outlines event plans including the various stage exhibits from 8/31 to 9/2. The first day is scheduled to be held exclusively for the press and select fans from Square Enix Members which will include the opening ceremony and early demo event.
Final Fantasy XIII will take stage on 9/1 at 11:30. Titled “Final Fantasy XIII Lightning’s Saga – New Developments Presentation,” Square promises details on the future of the project. Yoshinori Kitase, Motomu Toriyama, Isamu Kamikokuryou and other staff from the team will be in attendance.
September 1st will also play host to a Final Fantasy XIV talk with Naoki Yoshida regarding the upcoming version 2.0, as well as a music stage for Final Fantasy XI’s 10th anniversary.
The final day of the event will feature a Final Fantasy VII 15th anniversary stage show with various voice actors from the series. A live recording of Square Enix’s own radio show will also be held including a round table discussion with Hajime Tabata, Yusuke Naora and Yoshihisa Hashimoto on the future of Final Fantasy.
No mention of Final Fantasy Versus XIII was made in the schedule. We’ll of course have more information for you as it comes in.
