Tales of Xillia 2 Event to have fans choose the demo
In anticpation of the next entry in Namco Bandai's flagship RPG franchise, the company will be holding a national demo event tour. As the name implies, attendees will be able to demo the game.
To make the event more exciting, Namco Bandai is asking the fans to select the demo that will show up. In collaboration with Famitsu, the two have opened up a vote, giving the fans 2 choices; Type A and Type B.
Type A goes by the name of "Nature Factory Ascolt." What this route entails is a standard dungeon, complete with boss and the potential for a chance meeting with a character from the original Xillia. This takes place in an Ascolt food factory with a malicious security system after hero Ludger learns the power supply is being stolen by some kind of great spirit.
Type B has the title of "I Want to Go Home." This route adopts a more questl-like structure. Ludger has found himself in debt in the harbor town of Dovol. The player must raise money by going on quests if they wish to send Ludger back to his hometown.
If you are going to the event, you can vote here for your preferred route. The voting will end August 7.
.
A few screens of the demo have also been released.
Tales of Xillia 2 launches in Japan November 1. Any chance of a western release will likely be determined by sales of the prequel, which is launching in North America and Europe next year.
