Tetsuya Nomura says he'll soon show the future of Final Fantasy
Yesterday, Square Enix rounded out their Final Fantasy 25th anniversary celebrations with a panel on the future of the series. While the majority of it consisted of developers answering fan questions and a brief history of visual works, some important words of course managed to be said.
Closing the ceremony itself, Hajime Tabata of Crisis Core and Final Fantasy Type-0 fame talked about Final Fantasy Versus XIII’s development, then said “Tetsuya Nomura wanted to give the message that he’ll soon show the future of Final Fantasy.” Whether that means Final Fantasy Versus XIII or another project remains to be seen, but for now we can only speculate based on everything else that was said during the show.
As earlier reported, Final Fantasy Versus XIII will not be present at Tokyo Game Show, barring any sort of secret PV or some such. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
