Aion 2 releases globally on PC via Steam and Purple this September

Following its global release announcement in April, NC America announced that the global version Aion 2 will be coming this September on PC through Steam and Purple. It was previously released in Korea and Taiwan last November. Aion 2's global release will have servers for North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Plus, it will support 10 different languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and more.

The new launch reveal trailer for Aion 2 shows a mix of cinematics and gameplay. It evolves upon the free flight mechanic, which defined the original Aion MMORPG. Soar into the skies and engage in aerial combat as a Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Elementalist, Cleric, or Chanter.

In an exclusive trailer at the Summer Game Fest 2026 today, NC revealed AION 2, its open-world MMORPG set in the graphically stunning world of Atreia, will arrive this September on Steam and PURPLE platforms.

Following the trailer reveal, NC will host three days of closed-door demos of AION 2 to media and creators at the Summer Game Fest Play Days event Saturday through Monday, June 6-8.

The curated Play Days demo will showcase AION 2’s stunning graphic capabilities, flight and aerial combat, intense, fast-paced combat, open-world PVP battles, distinct class system, deep and detailed character customization, and much more. Expect to see many more reveals before launch in September.

Players who sign up for the AION 2 newsletter ahead of launch will receive in-game gifts from NC. They include Pagati, a guaranteed in-game companion pet, plus their choice of one additional pet from four options: Konutin Worker, Papis, Black Smoke Murute, or Silver Blade Rotan. Both pets will be redeemable at launch.

First launched in Korea and Taiwan in November 2025 to critical and commercial success, NC’s hit MMORPG will become playable for a broader, global audience this September with servers in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia and by supporting 10 different languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, etc.).

AION 2's core experience is built around something few MMOs attempt at scale: full freedom of flight as a combat system, not as a traversal feature. Players don't just move through Atreia, they fight, fall, and rise through it. Its fast-paced combat melds precision, timing, and positioning with traditional tab-targeting into a dynamic, modern combat experience. AION 2 brings a deep set of PvE content ranging from solo and four-player dungeons to eight-player raids, where the core gameplay experience is based on mastering the game mechanics, movement, and teamwork.
