Valor Mortis launches on September 24 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).

Lyrical Games today announced that Valor Mortis, the first-person Soulslike from One More Level, launches September 24, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and Steam — day one on Xbox Game Pass — with a playable demo available now on Steam. The studio also revealed the César Award-winning actor Vincent Cassel as the voice of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Set in a supernatural reimagining of 19th-century Europe, Valor Mortis casts players as William, a resurrected soldier of the Grande Armée who wields both Napoleonic-era weaponry and devastating supernatural powers. The Kraków-based studio, known for the critically acclaimed Ghostrunner series, brings the same mastery of first-person perspective to a Soulslike built around skill, stamina, and visceral, high-mobility combat.

The new trailer places the relationship between William and his Emperor, Napoleon, front and center. It marks Napoleon's first appearance in the game, portrayed by Cassel, as he warns William of his newfound abilities and poses a question to players: what would you sacrifice for power?
