Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn "End of an Era" Trailer

In a night that was wrought with disconnections, server resets, crippling lag, lobby errors, and much more, the event that Square Enix had been building up for weeks now has already caused a minor level of controversy online. Adventurers who were welcomed back to the game for the final hours eventually couldn't even log in due to the server congestion, and only those who had active accounts up to the end of September would be granted back in. A user on the official forums even claimed that "1.0 is ending just how it began".

Thankfully, things took a tremendous 180 when the game finally ended and up came an absolutely mesmerizing cinematic for A Realm Reborn, the upcoming substantial client update for Final Fantasy XIV. You can witness the breath-taking CGI trailer below, featuring arguably one of the best songs in the series' catalog, the main theme for the game, "Answers".

How can anyone be upset after seeing that? A Realm Reborn is expected to be released sometime in early 2013 with a PC and PS3 release to coincide with one another.
