The Last Story is XSEED's most successful title to date

The Last Story is now XSEED's most successful title to date, the company said in a press statement today.

To celebrate, the company is released an all-new standalone version of the Wii exclusive that should be hitting retailers this week. Unlike the first run edition, the singular game disc will run you just $29.99. Any remaining copies of the premium edition, which included an artbook and special packaging, will be lowered to $39.99.

“The Last Story has been an amazing title for XSEED Games and it has become our most successful title to date,” said Ken Berry, Executive Vice President at XSEED Games. “This is a must have title for RPG fans, and we’re looking forward to more players discovering the magic that lies in Lazulis Island.”

The Last Story went on sale in North America this past August. It went on to sell nearly 40K units its first month.
