Phantasy Star Online 2 for PS Vita dated, arrives as a free download
The PlayStation Vita version of Phantasy Star Online 2 now has a date.
Scheduled to launch in Japan on February 28, 2013, the handheld version of the MMO will be free to download through PSN. A separate Special Package edition will be available at retail and will include two costume sets, three weapon packs, a Mag evolution device, stickers, a 30 day premium set, soundtrack CD and a FUN1000 acquisition ticket. All of this can be had for 5,229 yen.
Those already enjoying the game on PC will be happy to know that PSO2 is cross platform, meaning PC players can play with Vita users and vice-versa. This also means accounts are equal across both versions, including items and other character data.
A western release for Phantasy Star Online 2 is expected some time in 2013 as well, however, Sega has yet to share further details on the project.
