Tales series surpasses 15 million units shipped worldwide
The recent release of Tales of Xillia 2 pushed the worldwide shipment total of the series over 15 million. The franchise has celebrated consistent success in Japan since its creation in 1995, known as one of the more prominent JRPG series.
Namco Bandai has shipped 480,000 copies of Tales of Xillia 2 since its release last month. The company expects more success with their Vita remake, Tales of Hearts R, which will launch in Japan during the first half of 2013.
Better treatment of the franchise in the west will help the worldwide total, and the upcoming release of the original Tales of Xillia is a good start.
