New Cyberpunk 2077 video looks at the title's origins
Last week CD Projekt RED offered the world the first glimpse at their upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 - and today they're diving into some of the inspiration behind the game with a new video short featuring Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the original Cyberpunk 2020 pen-and-paper RPG that forms the base inspiration for the game.
He has an incredible voice and, we think you'll agree, should have a voice cameo in the final game.
"Working with Mike Pondsmith is a great experience for the studio," Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED said. "Many of the people behind Cyberpunk 2077 have played his game and having his support is very important for us. It’s good to know what inspired him and what influenced his vision of the world. Our experience in video game storytelling and the technology , capable of building open world games, combined with Mike’s vision will result in one of the most kick-ass futuristic RPGs."
CD Projekt tend to base their titles off existing properties with great results - The Witcher was a series of novels prior to being a game. Check out the video below.
